A2. A vasectomy reversal can be performed as microsurgery in that the surgeon will use a special microscope to help with rejoining the vas deferens. Doing so means that he/she will be able to reconnect these tubes with tiny stitches. The surgeon may make a small incision in the centre of the scrotum (or either side) to access the vas deferens. This is not performed as ‘laparoscopic’ surgery (keyhole) but the incision will be very small with minimal scarring.
