Q11. What is croup?
A11. Croup is an infection that commonly affects children. It develops in the windpipe and voice box (larynx) and is usually caused by a viral infection. However, it can be caused by a bacterial infection in a small number of cases.
Symptoms include a fever, runny nose and a noticeable cough which sounds like a dog barking.
