Can I get help to stop smoking from the NHS? - A Guide to Stop Smoking
Yes. The NHS views smoking cessation as a priority and has allocated resources to it. They offer a range of services, many of which are free and include a ‘Quit Kit’, local stop smoking clinics in various locations around the country, a help and advice service aimed at people who are unable to attend these clinics (‘Together Programme’) and a smoking helpline.
Your GP is a good place to start. He/she can advise you further about these options as well as providing a few suggestions of his/her own.
