Online pregnancy tests
Online pregnancy tests may provide you with the answers you need to determine whether or not you need to do a home pregnancy test. Online pregnancy tests ask you a series of questions, which are similar to those your doctor would ask you if you went to see them for a blood based pregnancy test.
In order to carry out the online test, you will need the following information:
- The number of days between the first day of your period and the first day of your next period based on an average cycle
- The date of the first day of your last period
- The date you think you may have conceived
- Which form of contraception you are using on a regular basis
- Any symptoms you are experiencing, including nausea, changes in appetite, tiredness and sickness
- Any possible sources of stress
The test compiles a result based on the average ovulation process; the results will indicate the odds of you being pregnant.
The test is not as accurate as urine or blood tests and you should always do one of these tests if you think you are pregnant. However, the test can tell you if your dates advise that you may have become pregnant during your ovulation window.
