EPT
EPT is manufactured by Pfizer and is popular in the United States amongst women who wish to discover if they are pregnant. Their range of pregnancy tests features modern digital technology and is designed to prevent confusion when interpreting the results of a test. This makes the anxious wait to discover the results much more bearable.
Research has shown that a large proportion of women have trouble interpreting the results of their test so this pregnancy test is great. The EPT range has been clinically proven to provide accurate results and consumers have praised the products because they are easy to use and given results quickly.
Details of the products available are outlined below:
EPT Certainty Digital Home Pregnancy Test
The EPT certainty digital home pregnancy test features an easy to read digital display, which makes it easier for users to see the results of their test. The test is very straightforward and works on the same principal as other home pregnancy tests. The test can either be held under the urine stream or placed in a cup of urine; the results will then appear after two minutes.
This test can be used at any time of the day from the first day of a missed period; at this time, levels of HCG in the urine may still be very low and may not be detected by the test; this will produce a negative result. It is advisable to repeat the test after a few days, as the levels of HCG will have increased by this time and the test will then indicate a positive result if you are indeed pregnant. If you have done two tests and are unsure of the result, arrange to see your doctor.
EPT +/- pregnancy test
The EPT plus or minus pregnancy test works in exactly the same way as the EPT Certainty digital home pregnancy test but uses a plus and minus sign to indicate whether or not you are pregnant; a plus sign will indicate that you are pregnant and a minus sign will indicate that you are not pregnant. The results of the test should appear after just two minutes.
If you have done a test early on and it has come back negative, it is advisable to do another test a few days later, as results are more accurate at this time. Each woman is different and some women may have higher levels of HCG in their urine than others; when a test is done very early on, the levels may be too low for the test to detect.
EPT home pregnancy tests are available in both single and double packs; the double packs are often recommended because they offer better value for money and you can check your results by repeating the test.
