Sunless tanning is an alternate to sunbathing in natural sunlight. In some ways, it is viewed as a safer option because it reduces the risk of uncontrolled overheating and heatstroke, however the increased UV rays strength and exposure is a comparable risk in harm to the expectant mother and developing foetus.
