Medication for Sleep
It is best to avoid medication during pregnancy as it may have affects on your unborn child. You should never take over the counter drugs during pregnancy without knowing whether they are suitable or not during pregnancy.
Any medication you wish to take during pregnancy should be discussed with your doctor, who will be able to further advise you. If you have severe trouble sleeping your doctor may be able to prescribe you with medication which is suitable for use during pregnancy. The doctor will only be able to prescribe you with medicine in the second or third trimesters; however, they will offer advice on what medication is not recommended.
