What do I do if my waters break?
If your waters break before try not to panic. This is one of the first stages of labour. It is best to ring up the maternity unit to let them know that your waters have broken. They may ask you to come straight to the hospital. You may well want to buy maternity pads beforehand which can be used when your waters are leaking. It is important that no matter how many weeks into the pregnancy you are, if your waters break you should seek immediate assistance from the hospital.
