Do some hair styles damage your hair or cause it to fall out?
There are so many ways of styling your hair which are too numerous to mention. However, some of these styles can have a negative effect on your hair.
Hair styles such as the ponytail and braids are very popular especially with younger people but they can be problematic. They either constrict the hair (ponytail) or pull it tightly which puts pressure on the follicles, and weakens them. This leads to premature shedding and hair loss.
If you can’t bear to give up your tight hairstyle then look at easing the pressure on your hair or have a break from this style every so often.
Or consider switching to a loose, relaxed style.
