Q13. Why is it so important to care for your contact lenses?

A13. If you have reusable lenses then cleaning and soaking them will remove any substances/protein deposits which build up on the lenses over time.

Plus this will help to prolong the life of the lenses and reduce the risk of an eye infection.

Many problems which occur with lenses are often a case of poor lens care or a careless attitude towards doing so. You cannot afford to adopt a cavalier attitude towards contact lens care as there is a higher risk of eye problems compared to non-lens wearers.

If you do not want to be bothered with this then choose daily disposable lenses instead. These are single use lenses which are designed to be worn in the daytime, removed and then discarded. This means no cleaning or overnight soaking.
