Q28. What lifestyle changes will I have to make?
A28. Your GP will advise you to adopt some or all of the following if you have high blood pressure. These include:
- Losing weight -if you are overweight or obese
- Switching to a low fat diet
- Limiting the amount of salt in your diet
- Taking regular exercise
- Reducing your stress levels
- Reducing the amount of alcohol you drink
- Taking your blood pressure medication (if necessary)
