Q9. What are milia?
A9. These are small white spots which develop on your baby’s eyelids, cheeks, nose and chin. They can also develop inside the roof of his/her mouth or on the gums. Milia are very common amongst babies and occur when dead skin cells clog the pores of the skin. These build up to form a small spot or bump but this wears away, removing the dead skin.
Milia usually clear up without the need for treatment.
