Who gets drug allergies?
People with one type of allergy tend to have other allergies as well, and other people in their family may also have allergies. Having a food allergy may mean that you are also allergic to certain medications, as sometimes, food products are used in drugs.
Other risk factors include being exposed to the drug lots, using high doses of the drug, or being given the drug by injection rather than orally.
