What are the signs and symptoms of cow's milk allergy?
Your child may get any of the following signs and symptoms shortly after drinking milk:
- Diarrhoea
- Vomiting
- Constipation
- May cry due to abdominal pain
- A rash on the skin
- Hives (urticaria) – explained in a separate article
- Difficulty breathing (check if your baby is breathing faster, wheezing, or grunting when they breathe. You might also be able to see the outlines of their ribs or ribcage periodically when they breathe out, but not when they are breathing in)
- Failure to grow and put on weight.
