Q24. How do you treat acne scars?

A24. There are a variety of treatments available which include ‘self-help’ (daily skin care routine); over the counter products such as creams and lotions; prescribed medicines such as antibiotics or a retinoid; and tablets.

Other forms of treatment include some types of oral contraceptives, light therapy and laser treatment.

These are all discussed in more detail in our acne treatment section.
