Q28. What is ‘intense pulsed light’ therapy?

A28. Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy is a form of treatment in which short pulses of light are emitted from a hand held device onto the skin.

This stops any excess oil production, kills the bacteria responsible for causing acne and stimulates collagen production. Collagen is a type of protein in the skin which gives it strength and elasticity.
