A3. Yes. There are other types of acne apart from the common acne vulgaris (simply known as acne) which include:

  • Acne rosacea
  • Acne cosmetica
  • Smokers acne

  • Moderate
  • Severe

These categorisations are used by dermatologists and other healthcare professionals when diagnosing acne.

Mild cases of acne can be treated at home but moderate and severe forms will require medical intervention.
