Q7. I need a hearing test, what can I expect?
A7. If your GP feels that you need to have a hearing test then he/she may conduct this test him/her self or refer you to a specialist.
The specialist will decide if you need a single test or several tests.
These tests can range from using a tuning fork to check your hearing against a range of different frequencies through to a test in which you wear a set of headphones and are asked to push a button each time you hear a noise.
