Juvederm

This is a non animal source, long lasting gel that is used to boost and lift areas to be treated. Juvederm is similar in composition to the hyaluronic acid that is naturally found in the body. It is safe to use, and ideally suited to boost and replenish the body’s natural supply of hyaluronic acid.

Juvederm can be used to fill out the lips or plump up the skin. It is created by a biosynthesis procedure, and is biocompatible. Because it is not sourced from animal products, there is no need for testing.

Types of Juvederm
There are 3 formulae of Juvederm of varying intensity

J 18
This formula when injected is ideal for impacting the perioral wrinkles, and crow's feet. It is especially useful for the treatment of fine wrinkles and lines.

J 24
This contains a higher concentration, and works to smoothen glabellar lines, wrinkles on the forehead, nasal furrows, and wrinkles on the cheek

J 30
This is the highest concentration formula, and is ideal for boosting the plumpness of the lip, smoothening the contours of your cheeks and filling the naso-genian folds.

You can expect the effects of Juvederm to last up to 9 months. But this can depend on the affected area, the skin type, the quantity of injection, as well the injection technique used. A skin care practitioner can also optimize the treatment for more lasting effects, and this can be done with a follow up treatment after the first injection.
