Q11. How long does the treatment take?
A11. A typical session takes around an hour.
This is broken down into:
Thirty minutes for the local anaesthetic (topical gel) to take effect and numb an area of skin. Once the skin is numb the gel is washed off the skin and the area dried with a towel.
Then 30 minutes for the actual procedure (application of the dermaroller over your skin).
Once the roller has been worked over your skin you will be given a skin care product, e.g. Chiroxy to aid with recovery. This cream acts as an additional boost to the skin’s healing process by encouraging the growth of collagen and elastin. dermaroller procedure section.
