Who is not suitable for breast lift surgery (breast uplift surgery)?
If you are using breast uplift surgery as a means of changing your life for the better or have some deeper rooted psychological problem then surgery is not the answer. It can achieve pleasing results but it will not guarantee that you will look like a famous film star or celebrity!
Most surgeons will not operate if you are under 18, pregnant, breastfeeding or are unrealistic about the surgery. If your general health is poor then this too might rule you out. It is not recommended for women suffering from the following:
- Cellulitis (infection in the soft tissue of the breast)
- Diabetes (uncontrolled)
- Breast cancer
- Dry, broken or hardened breast skin
If you are intending to breastfeed then you will be advised to wait until you have had your children.
Your suitability will be discussed at your consultation with your surgeon. He/she will assess your suitability against a series of criteria.
