Can I get help towards paying for my breast lift surgery (breast uplift surgery)?
Unless you can demonstrate a genuine need then the NHS is unlikely to pay for your surgery. Your options are taking financing it yourself through savings or some other means; taking out a personal loan from a bank or building society or using a specialist finance scheme such as First Medical Loans. Many cosmetic surgery providers have their own finance schemes which offer competitive loans.
If you have private health insurance then you will find that, unfortunately, they do not pay for cosmetic surgery. Insurance providers treat cosmetic surgery as a ‘lifestyle choice’ rather than as a medical necessity and will not cover it. The only exception to this may be if you require cosmetic surgery along with reconstructive surgery, or to correct a medical condition. Check with your insurance provider to see if they will cover cosmetic surgery but this is very unlikely.
