How do I eat with dentures?
Eating with a denture does take a bit of getting used to but you will find that you adjust fairly quickly. The trick is to start with soft foods and to cut these into small, bite sized pieces.
Chew your food slowly and on both sides of your mouth as this will stop your denture from moving.
Once you get used to doing this then introduce other foods until you are eating in the same manner as before.
You will find that you produce more saliva than normal but this will ease once your mouth has become accustomed to your dentures.
