Q13. I have arthritis and find it difficult to floss; is there an alternative?
A13. Yes. The alternative is a ‘flossing aid’ which is a special device designed to hold the floss whilst you apply it around your teeth. Flossing is still a very effective way of removing food particles from between your teeth and a flossing aid will help you to do so.
Find out more about these in our types of dental floss and aids section.
